Pierce Aluminum
The project involved the construction of a 60,000-square-foot facility using a Butler Manufacturing pre-engineered building system. This facility, designed to replace an existing one, was intended to enhance operational efficiency and production capacity for a specialized aluminum fabrication client.
The layout includes 4,000 square feet of office space and 56,000 square feet of warehouse space. The electrical distribution system was designed to support both existing and new manufacturing equipment. Material handling is facilitated by five overhead shop cranes, including four 5-ton units and one 10-ton unit. The warehouse features two drive-through lanes for efficient indoor unloading of 18-wheel tractor-trailers.
The building's facade consists of split-faced CMU and Butler Rib metal wall panels, while the office entrance features an aluminum storefront system complemented by an MBCI Masterline panel accent wall. The site development included three retention ponds and over 8,000 square feet of paving, ensuring efficient stormwater management and optimal site access.
