First Baptist Christian School
To support its growing student body, First Baptist Christian School (FBCS) undertook a significant expansion, transforming the former two-story Davidson Meaux Law Office located across from the main campus. The school envisioned a modern, flexible learning environment that aligned with their Christ-centered mission.
Kent Design Build worked closely with the Design Team, providing preconstruction services that ensured the project remained on budget through progressive cost estimating and value-engineering. Transforming a former law firm into a school required daily coordination and proactive communication with the owner to address challenges with the existing structure and layout.
Our team performed selective demolition to clear the space, followed by interior buildouts, structural modifications, and crucial upgrades to the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. We worked in unison with trade partners to complete major scopes such as finishes and acoustics and the addition of an elevator.
Kent Design Build self-performed critical tasks including carpentry, door hanging, and specialties.
