Mendoza Ford

The Mendoza Ford Dealership, strategically located on a 27-acre site in Maurice, Louisiana, represents the town's inaugural name-brand dealership. The 36,000+ square foot facility was meticulously designed and constructed with three primary functional areas: a nationally branded customer lobby and administrative offices, a four-lane service bay with dedicated service check-in, and a 24-bay climate-controlled shop equipped with integrated storage and mezzanine space.

The facility's exterior design features a prominent radius along the front elevation. To address Louisiana's stringent wind load requirements, the free-standing Ford-branded architectural fin was engineered with 8-foot embedded anchor rods and robust footings. The building façade incorporates a combination of ACM panels and MBCI horizontal wall panels, along with a curtain wall system and multiple storefront areas.

The structural steel framework was exclusively designed and coordinated by Kent Design Build, leveraging their partnership with Butler. Notably, the shop area includes an expandable endwall, providing flexibility for future growth and expansion.

The project, which included key elements such as a structural, plastered "rock" display at the main entrance, four individual car turning displays, a car wash, and a detail shop, exceeded the owner's and the Town of Maurice's expectations. Successful completion of this project is an honor.
