New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Cafeteria
This project encompassed a comprehensive addition and renovation to an existing two-story cafeteria facility. Phase 1 involved the construction of a new kitchen area with dedicated cold and dry storage spaces, a new serving line, and associated support facilities, including the addition of structural walls, slab, and a metal roof to the existing a wind the he existing structure. Phase 2 focused on the adaptive reuse of the former kitchen and ancillary spaces, transforming them into two flexible meeting/small dining rooms and new men's and women's restroom facilities. Further enhancements included upgrading the existing dining room with new finishes from floor to ceiling, and the conversion of the second-level space into a mezzanine, expanding the dining and meeting capacity.
Exterior renovations were completed on the NOBTS Student Center, addressing deficiencies in the existing brick parapet walls at both the south and west entrances. This involved the systematic demolition of compromised sections and the subsequent installation of new brick parapet walls to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic cohesion. A new, architecturally designed canopy, featuring metal framing and a standing seam roof, was constructed to extend along the building's exterior, seamlessly connecting the existing south and west canopies.
