Rooms To Go Outdoor Showroom // 16,952 SqFt // Demolition, Renovation, Addition

Rooms To Go Outdoor Showroom located on Veterans Memorial Blvd in Metairie, LA was a demolition and renovation of existing warehouse space for an outdoor furniture showroom inside of their newly constructed building. Kent Design Build was the successful bidder with Casco Corporation as the design firm. The project consisted of 9,652 SqFt of new showroom area and 7,300 SqFt of new stockroom space. Finishes included LED track lighting, exposed spiral ductwork, LVT accent flooring, painted exposed roof decking, face brick accent walls, and exposed wood timbers.

This project presented several challenges including working inside of an occupied retail store and long-lead time items such as specialty light fixtures and owner furnished finishes. Our project team was able to overcome these challenges and complete the project ahead of schedule allowing the client to open prior to the anticipated July 4th shopping weekend. This is the fourth Outdoor Furniture showroom for Rooms to Go in the nation, and the first in Louisiana.
